Beauty Sensations

Hello,
My name is Sophie and I am the proud owner of Beauty Sensations in Didcot.
Do you want to know a little more about me? Have a nose below...
All About Me
My Beauty journey started in 2015 when I enrolled at Abingdon & Witney College to study Level 2 Beauty. After a year of studying Manicures, Pedicures, Tinting, Waxing, Facials & the day to day running of a salon. In 2016, after finishing my Level 2, I had found my first Beauty Therapy job. I was soo excited to start my new job and apply everything I had learnt at college into my new role, meeting new people, building my client base. Early days into my first job I was lucky enough to have found an apprenticeship in Level 3 Beauty, allowing me to offer more to my clients, so for that year I studied Swedish Massage, Hot Stones Massage, Indian Head Massage, Eyelash Extensions & managing a salon effectively.
My 4 years of employment had taught me a lot without the experience and additional training courses I wouldn't have been able to start a journey of my own.
In November 2019, I opened & had my first day as Beauty Sensations. The first 4 months were fantastic, until I heard the dreaded words on the news that the country was going into lockdown due to the covid-19 pandemic.
It's been a very bumpy journey with a lot of obstacles but I can very proudly say nearly 5 years on I am open for business, going stronger than ever and wouldn't change what I have accomplished for the world.

When working 2 jobs and running a business behind the scenes doesn't always give me time to do activities I enjoy but the occasion I have a free day I:
-
Love Knitting: At a young age my nan taught me how to knit. I recently picked it up again after working a project with her and I have continued ever since. I'm now making baby items for SSNAP, sell them and donate profits to help SSNAP. I also make premature items, blankets, hats & booties and donate them to John Radcliffe so they can use it on their Neonatal ward.
