What Happens at Your Appointment?

When you arrive, you'll begin by filling out a form to make sure you don't have any medical conditions or taking any medications that will affect your piercing and the healing process. 

 

Earrings: I'll help you choose your favourite colour earrings. Whether your looking for your first set of earrings or adding to your collection.

We'll make sure you're happy with your choice before we begin.

​Preparing for Your Piercing: Before piercing, the area will be carefully prepared and cleaned.

I'll explain the process and make sure you're comfortable and happy to proceed.

Making the Position: We'll carefully mark the position where your piercing will be placed.

This gives you the opportunity to check the placement and make sure your happy with how it looks before the piercing takes place. If the position needs to be changed, I can do this until your happy.

​

The Piercing: Once you're ready and have verbally said your ready (for children) , the piercing will be carried out using the appropriate professional piercing equipment and sterile jewellery. 

The process itself is very quick. You may feel a brief pinch or pressure, but it is over in moments.

Aftercare Advice: Once your piercing is complete, I'll talk you through how to care for your new piercing at home.

You'll be given guidance on keeping the area clean, avoiding any unnecessary touching and allowing you're piercing the appropriate time to heal.

Enjoy Your New Piercing: And that's it!! You can leave feeling confident, knowing you've had your piercing professionally carried out and have been given the information you need to look after it.

What Do You Use to Pierce Ears?

For my ear piercing I use Studex Ear Piercing System, which is a hand-held, spring-action instrument used to insert sterile, pre-loaded hypoallergenic earrings into the earlobe quickly and safely.​

 

I Choose Hygiene

Your safety is always my priority so when it comes to your ear piercing, cleanliness is extremely important.​

Before and after every ear piercing, my piercing instrument is wiped over with cleansing wipes.

Each pair of earrings arrives individually packaged, sterilised and sealed.  ​

Within the sterile earring packets are 2 plastic inserts which are placed on end of the piercing instrument, so your ear never touches the piercing instrument. These plastic inserts are single use only and are disposed of after every piercing.

The Studex Piercing system was created in the mid-1970s to be sterile as the piercer never has to touch the piercing jewellery at any stage during loading of the instrument and piercing your ears, helping to maintain the highest standards of hygiene throughout the treatment.

What if I Need Support After My Piercing Appointment? 

​Just because you have your new earrings, doesn't mean your care finishes there. 

​I'll talk you through how to look after your new earrings, provide your aftercare advice and happily answer any questions you may have before, during or after your ear piercing. 

When your ready to change your earrings, the piercing earrings aren't always the easiest to remove. I can also help you change your earrings to your favourite pair after the 6 weeks healing period.
